Brunel University London had two student-led businesses representing the University at the Santander University Entrepreneur Awards in both pre and post revenue categories of the semi-finals on Monday 26 June.
Both businesses were successful at the semi-finals. Stephanie Monty’s idea Ostique Ltd got through to the National Finals where she will get an opportunity to win £20,000 equity-free seed funding. She will also get £1,000, a business mentor, an intern and attendance at an acceleration week.
Kathryn Harris and Nicola Flynn who set up Koti Studio Ltd won the People’s Choice award.They were chosen by the audience on their presentation and business idea and won £500 alongside the opportunity to attend the acceleration week with the finalists.
After a couple of months support from Santander on growing her business, Stephanie will take part in the national final in London in October 2017.
