The Innovation Hub celebrated Global Entrepreneur Week at Brunel University London by inviting some of Brunel’s top alumni to come and share their journeys to success on Wednesday 15th November 2017.

There were over 150 attendees and the panel included Deepak Tailor, Solveiga Pakštaitė, Carlton Cummins, Stephanie Monty and Courtney Wood; all of whom provided a unique perspective on what it means to be an entrepreneur.

There was a special keynote by Lord Karan Bilimoria which gave great inspiration and motivation to our students.

A Message From Brunel University London/Vice-chancellor and President

Professor Julia Buckingham

At Brunel Entrepreneurs on Wednesday evening, five of our recent graduates, all now successful entrepreneurs, met about 200 current students. They each recounted their journeys and gave some real insights to the challenges they have overcome in starting and growing their own businesses.  Without exception they also described how invaluable the staff at Brunel had been in helping them realise their ambitions. I was delighted to welcome Lord Karan Bilimoria to the event and hear his story of the ups and downs he experienced in taking Cobra Beer from an idea as an undergraduate to a highly successful global business – a real masterclass for anyone thinking of starting up a company. A huge thank you to Mike Herman and colleagues in the Innovation Hub for all they did to make the event such a success.
